If there is a beginning, then there will be an end. The sun burned long and faded slowly. Mornings were warm, t-shirt warm. Unstable air flipped over, thunderheads brewed. Lightning struck violently, without rain. Wildfire dominated the season.
Steelhead ran, on time. Maybe not in the numbers we had hoped, but they were there for those willing to work a bit harder than the next guy. Not a time to be stuck in a rut. Saw signs of good and hope for the future, only next year will tell.
